Dr Andy Gosler awarded the Union Medal

Congratulations to Andy Gosler who has been awarded the Union Medal of the British Ornithologists' Union for 'Services to Ornithology'. The citation mentioned his 30 years of research in Wytham Woods with the Edward Grey Institute of Field Ornithology, his work for the BTO, his teaching including bird ringing to students, his recent work in ethno-ornithology and for the Institute of Human Sciences, his Presidency of the Oxford Ornithological Society, and especially his Editorship of Ibis at a time of significant change, which  substantially changed the journal's fortunes so that it is today thriving.
